School Daze #11

 Dad,

  The Placid trip went sweet as, so no worries. The align-cloak-prop-decloak-warp trick was good as gold; though one time in highsec, I did fire the cloak and prop too quick, and got a little tangled up. Beyond that, managed the dodgy legs of the trip well, and even got lucky that neither of the two Gnosis ratbags I spotted were on gates I was warping from. Gabi's folks' place is swanky, and we had a good weekend, but I'm not going to bore you with the deets of skux life.

    A couple other close scrapes though. I did another dip into lowsec, en route back home from a courier job, for a mite more Jaspet for dyadya K, and a Tristan warped into the belt with me, and targeted me just as I was warping away. Good thing dyayda's advice held solid: I was outside the belt, near the limit of my mining laser, and was aligned to my exit. I saw the ratbag coming on DScan 400K out, and was already braced to bail. I'm no chook, but not sure I'm going to make lowsec mining a habit. 

  Another dodgy scene, I was busting some Serpentis muppets when three ratbags sally up; two dessies and a Noctis who was flashing sus. Another hot tip from you; I was on the opposite side of the area from the beacon, a good 25K out. I finished the last muppet, and those ships just hung still, so I made flat out before the scene when to ratshit for me.

  Science finals this week, and then the Mechanical Engineering classes start. Oh, also got an invite from some rando to join a corporation, but not keen as for corp life yet.
