Work Daze #41
Dear Wairua,
No worries at all, mate. Gabi texted me as soon as you got into Sinq space; she's got a mate at space traffic control in Aurcel, who called her when your ship showed up on scans. Many of use squizzed the news from afar, and it was fairly tense. I thought it totally in character of New Eden pilots to be scanning for, and carking, broadcast crews. We're all glad you got out fine, and hope the data you got will be useful to you.
Kartsev and I have some other concerns at the moment; for the second time in 6 weeks, the band of incel pirates have decided to wardec us and deprive us of any and all structures. They've already assailed the (2nd)Astrahus and (3rd)Raitaru, setting them to armor timers, and the Athanors are likely to see the same treatment before the weekend.
As the last two times we've been the object of their attentions, there's nothing anyone is willing or able to do about it. I doubt we've even recouped replacement cost from the last time, and we really only rebuilt about 60% of our previous infrastructure, so it's unlikely rebuilding will be even worthwhile. My brother and I never bothered shifting back into the Astra after the last two wars, instead keeping most of our ops running from faction corp stations in the area. That will likely be best practice moving forward. It's a shame you just got station access here for the clone bay, you'd better come get your jump clone today/tomorrow. I texted to remind you.
Sweet as that you and Tasman managed to connect with Winslow and co. to start up ops out there in the wop-wops. The commodity output should be beaut, and you'll sure as need a bigger ship to rat out there (unless you need to keep the Serps, etc. from packing a hard sad that you're out there). About yakka for Intaki Syndicate; it's all fun and games until they start giving you jobs that will impact your standings with the big governments, which may mean you end up persona non grata in most of HighSec space. Nothing like gate guns and faction police to make a quick jump to the dairy in Dodixie more exciting than you'd like. But, your father-in-law's mates might like having you in the family business. Follow your gut and she'll be right.
Will be in touch again when the smoke clears out here, and Kartsev may bring his DST down there to mine ice and forget our troubles up here (again). Give my love to Gabi and my little princess.
Love,
Dad
