Frontier Daze #3

 Wai,

Keen as to hear your explorations are both educational and bringing in some ISK. After all, we both joined an alliance with 'Wormhole' in the name; no sense in being scared of them. Sounds like you're learning, and putting that brain to work. You got lucky in Thera, mate, so keep some of those lessons close, and you'll be good as gold.

Your uncle will gladly compensate you for the molecular condensers and anything else you're snatching from the data and relic sites. I know that the relic sites are mostly bung in High Sec space, but those bits can help making T2 rigs, and most people just bypass them, so less competition for the contents.

Speaking of your uncle, he's done a bit of binge shopping, and has secured a deep space transport, pair of blockade runners, and a couple stealth bomber hulls for for you. Next time you bowl around, jet up to Jita to get the rest of the kit needed to fit them out, but both he and I have plenty of warp drives, inertial stabilizers and such, so you shouldn't need much.

Blockade runners aren't perfect; an insta-locking gate camp will still land you in the ratshit, so always do your due diligence on your route. Gates leading to the next-higher security space will always be camped, especially around the weekends. Some punters just fancy spending their weekends bubbling, camping gates, looking for non-fight fights. So, dock up your waka at an empire or corporate station before you hit the transitional gate, then just take a corvette through to scout the next couple jumps.

Pipe systems, only having two gates (one it, one out) are the worst to travel as they're the easiest to camp. The ratbags will set up camp at one gate or the other (sometimes both), with drag bubbles or some kind of tackle, along with a sensor-boosted locker to prevent cloaking away. I had, what I felt, a beaut travel fit for a fleet Harbinger, but still got it erased by a well-coordinated gate camp. Sometimes, you're just not going to get away.

Usually, once you're deeper into whichever region, the camps get more sparse, and if in/close to alliance space, you'll have fresher intel on who's where.

I need to be in fleet soon, forming up for either some violence, or another blueball.

Cheers,

Dad
