Work Daze #50
Wai,
Glad things are going beaut for you, family, and the mates after shifting northwest. Got my ratting rig all set, made a few runs, then got called away for some cracker counter-shenanigans. Been helping defend some structures for some other folks, and to good effect.
There's always the chance that you can get a fleet to form up, and the opposing ratbags can look at the situation and bow out, which has happened a couple times, but we managed to mix it up good this week. I've been flying small ECM, but to choice results: tied up opposing Logi long enough for my mates to cark 3 battleships and a marauder, and munted the ratbags' op enough to save the structure as well. It was a good fight, well taken. A few nights later, we formed up for other timers, and the ratbags, still stinging from the first defeat, opted out. We still managed to snag one of their force recon ships at their staging structure, and melted it.
I'll probably stay on the ECM wing for a bit, while I knuckle under on the DPS doctrines they prefer.
Once we're done thwarting ratbags down south, I'll jump back north and chill with you and the fam. I should be back up there for the weekend, so make sure there's something beaut in the chillybox.
I heard that my brother has been helping out with some mining yakka on the Island, and it's a good break from the hectic ratshit back in Citadel. Even sent me a pic of his mining barge with the Cloud Ring in the background; a change of scenery is often medicinal. He also had a good scanning run out there as well, not a lot of competition for sites/sigs. I think he might enjoy Island life, once he gets all the tools he wants out there.
Cheers,
Dad
