Frontier Daze #11

 Dyadya,

I've tried some hacking data sites in Null Sec space, and you're absolutely right; munted skills get munted results. I probably carked more cans than I snagged loot from. Not heaps of profit or fun, really. I'll need better hacking skills, a better data analyzer, and maybe those implants I saw. Time and ISK, right..

The combat sites I'm scanning down in Null, I'm in no hurry to engage with, since the Probe would carked as soon as it got on-grid with the ratbags. I tried, went after some cruiser I scanned down with 3 support frigates. Once on-grid, I orbited the cruiser @15K w/ MWD blazing away, and let my drones eliminate the frigates. Once the frigates were carked, I set my three drones on the cruiser. Up until now, the cruiser hadn't been hitting me, but as soon as his shield was gone, he started firing in earnest, and had me at 0 shield in about 5 seconds, chewed through the armor in about the same time, and I had aligned out, and jumped at 30% structure. Not keen as to try that again in the Probe, for sure. Wrong waka for that job.

Beyond that bung go, been just hitting data and relic sites, and marking wormholes. Hoping to get a sweet as connection back to Sinq, so I can shuttle wares out and in.

'Probing Cosmic Signatures' by G. Pierretine
I'll probably just do exploration in High Sec during the week, with less punters out cherry-picking cans from sites. Bung as manners, these folks, and I'm sure you've seen it at its worst over nearer The Forge region.

Some evenings, I'll just have a beer, and describe some technical or scientific theory about stuff I'm doing, and Gabi will paint her interpretation or imagination of what I'm talking about. Here's her interpretation of scanning probes, finding cosmic signatures.

No worries on the Hound, dyadya. I'm patient, and still have that one extra you bought last month. I'll just need to be more careful, eh? The Cheetah might be more useful to me in Synditude Null, really. If you get it built, I'll jump clone back, get it and the implants, and fly it back to Synditude.

Yours,

Wai
