Well, I did it: Joined up with the Gallente for some faction warfare yakka. Was a bit munted even getting to the warzone. On my way out of Intakistan, some punter had a gate bubbled, and while I saw the mobile disruptors on DScan, I though my angle into the gate was good as gold. Turned out bung as, I got nailed and the ratbag popped my pod as well, sending me back to the beginning of my journey. Ended up gating my way out another day.

I hit Dodixie for some overpriced Rifters and Breachers, and heaps of ammo, and staged out of Villore while I fit, and snuck into Old Man Star with all my toys. Set up in OMS, I started playing in the Scout and Small complexes, and haven't seen too many punters out there yet. It's either been bugger all, or blobs of CalMil in destroyers. Still, just getting the lay of the land, doing the smaller complexes in OMS and Ladistier.

Been a bung day so far. I had finished one Scout complex, and I kept seeing a Venture on DScan, so I guessed which belts he might be at, and warped over there after the complex was taken. He wasn't paying attention very well, as he was in the second asteroid belt I warped to 0. I approached him with MWD, and gave him a healthy knock, locked him up, scram, and started pounding with the autocannons. I knew my scram wasn't going to hold him, as Dyadya so often reminded me, I just hoped that bumping into him enough would keep him from warping off. Guess so, as I carked his waka.. but let his pod go unmolested.

I squizzed the punter out again not 10 minutes later, in another Venture, but I figured I'd leave the egg be. There was another small plex open, went in and started the timer.. and sat at the beacon, waiting. With 90 sec left on the clock, a Punisher warped to the gate leading into the plex, and then decided 'yeah, nah' and bailed. Not worth the chance of getting carked, I guess, though he had no idea how useless a punter I am at combat. Flaming death would have to wait (about 10 minutes, actually).

And death did come, with I being munted and losing the Rifter to a pirate Osprey NI in a Medium complex. I saw him a couple minutes prior on DScan, but got distracted, and next thing I know, I'm in my pod, scrammed, and getting carked myself. It's true: What goes around, comes around. I completely and thoroughly deserved that. 

Anyway, as I'm slowing turning Dyadya's ISK into scrapmetal and Gallente loyalty scrip. anything special you want?
