Plus Ultra #15
Dad,
Squizzing the comms traffic and timers stacking up, I extracted myself from the wop-wops of enemy territory. I was skint on torpedoes anyway, after pinging their POCOs solo for a few days. Not sure what I can do about the 900 Kilo gorilla, but being closer to the family bach should help. Touched base with Tasman, and we've got the Intakistan commodities still producing, but it sounds like, if the gorilla is keen as to glass us, even that outpost will be untenable, even if it gets overlooked.
If corp management wants, I can start to survey other moons for mining and scout out the planet compositions and POCOs. We've got a beaut squad, so even if they cark all our stations, we'll find a spot to rebuild, and she'll be right. You and Dyadya have been though this drill many times before, so while we're gutted about the destruction, we've pulled through before.
I had a wee epiphany while roving in the Hound, behind enemy lines; This just isn't me. I want to build stuff, like Dyadya does, research new and choice technologies, and try to improve the security of our space for both the general public and also our alliance mates. Going out, looking to cark other ships for entertainment and profit (or even for vengeance) just doesn't seem like a beaut match to what you've brought me up to believe.
I know it was in lowsec, but carking that Venture left a bung taste in my mouth after. Many of the local kinos we've been at odds with, and even the large powers giving us a hiding now, aren't going to be any different if we just return fire and salt and insult. Seems pointless, and even pathetic, if we just end up like that Vevelonel troll, or those cowardly arsonists from southwest Placid.
Heaps of change coming, but just let me know what to knuckle under while this chaos is going on.
Yours,
Wai
