Pirata Diebus #3

 Dear Wairua,

Sounds like you and the mates are doing beaut so far, taking this Insurgency a little slower than the last one. CalMil has stepped up their presence in what is, for them, a rearguard area, and your kitchen sink fleets need to be better coordinated to avoid being pushed around by a bunch of punters in Harpies.

Good on ya for going out for that yakka. I still haven't gotten around to fixing my munted relations with Guristas, just not feeling it, and want to stay close to the hub and ready for fleets close to home, without worrying about bung pirate reputation with The Man. Besides, not keen as to catch sentry guns whenever I bowl around to see this sweet as Gallente bird I've been taking out the last month or so.

My brother says the wetware mainframes have been slowly dripping out of the factory, and is a wee underwhelmed at the profit projections for such a complex supply chain. We'll need to give it a couple months, squiz any possibilities of improvement. Once we can get the extraction and processing ahead of final production, we can try some side items to supplement, like Robotics or extra Coolant. I think JP has an extra capacity he's holding in reserve in case we have more extraction bottlenecks.

If my munted noggin can take it, I'll be taking Summer classes in all things jump-related. Should be ready to fly a mean as Redeemer by Fall. One of the mates had a close scrape recently. He jumped his freighter to a system before spying it out first, and ended up getting lanced on a gate by a band of brigands. They were holding him for ransom, giving him 30 seconds to eject out of the freighter before blowing him up. Instead, he quickly had another mate light a cyno right on the brigands, and jumped in a dread he had in reserve. SURPRISE, RATBAGS!!

He also had another mate light a cyno back at the hub, and so while the bung ratbags turned focus on the surprise dread, he managed to slip tackle on the freighter, and jump it back home. The dread killed one of their BLOPs battleships, but eventually died, having sacrificed itself for the freighter, but we only lost a 5B dread instead of a 13B freighter. Quick thinking and ready mates saved the day. Just a lesson for the wise.

Which reminds me, where is all your choice cyno kit sitting?

Yours,

Dad
