School Daze #42 (The Answer)

Well, you got your wish; I got carked in abyssal space. One can get away with doing things bung only so long, and then it inevitably turns into a mare. I fitted the ship cheaply, in anticipation of losing it, and as a self-fulfilling prophecy, it was lost.

A) Fit: I fitted up my waka with salvaged, looted kit. IF you want your ship to work sweet as when you need it to, fit the best gear you can (within reason). Think of it as an investment in success.

B) Ammo: Take the best you can afford, and heaps to withstand a long slog. Gank IS tank.

C) Plan ahead: Take enough ammo (B) and enough varieties to switch if the situation calls for it.

As said before, my last run (it's ALWAYS the last run), I failed on all 3 items. I COULD have fit better launchers, and a couple tech 2 mods. I also cheaped out on the ammo, using Guristas missiles I'd been collecting instead of spending money on Navy-Issue missiles. And also underestimated how many missiles to take, and ended up losing the DPS vs. Tank race with the hardest egg in the Abyss.

It was the last chamber, that I ran into the Skybreaker Disparu Troop bastard. I only had a half-rack of the Guristas missiles left, and some normie Scourge missiles. Needless to say, at this point, it was a bung show going in munted to begin with; there was no beating his regen with the ammo I had left. I kited him while in self-destruct mode, but he got my pod at the end. Not quite the piss-up I was hoping for, but the one I deserved. The next waka will be kitted up tighter, and she'll be right.
