School Daze #58
Dad,
I get it, she'll be right. By the by, I think a bachelor party in Old Man Star or Tama would be choice! Don't sweat putting on airs, Gabi's folks know who we are; smart, hard-working, family-oriented people. Actually, her dad seemed to already know a bit about you and dyadya Kartsev, maybe through his business connections (whatever they are).
Gabi and I are out on the Grand Prix tiki tour, and I'm glad she pushed me to go. I even got a skux paint job for the Rifter for the trip. A lot of Gallie space was cake, then, we had a turn through some Caldari space before heading to Heimatar. The red skies, dad! I have a brief childhood memory of the red dust clouds, being in a cockpit with, presumably, my original family. I just recall sitting on a woman's lap, and looking out a window at the red, red space and all the stars. Seeing it all again was incredible.
After that leg, we would our way up through Placid, stopped at Gabi's folks bach up there for a beer, and pressed on to Solitude and even a jaunt through Syndicate. I did as dyadya Kartsev always told me, jumping to a tangential moon before warping to the next gate, good as gold. And what did I find at the next gate? A bung ratbag with a drag bubble in line with where I came in from. Dyadya knows his stuff, hard.
Gabi seemed to know her way around Syndicate as well, as she used to go with her dad on trips out there when she was younger, and saw some familiar stations she recognized. We wound our way down to Amarr, and spent the night.
We should be back in Sinq by the time dyadya comes down to visit, but he has access to my digs if he beats us home. I've got a mean as present for you when you visit next (like at the wedding).
Yours,
Wai
